Dear Jesus, in obedience and love of your heavenly Father, you humbled yourself in being conceived in the womb of Mary. There you were nourished and loved by her. Help all mothers and fathers to love and cherish their unborn children. Help us to assist parents in difficult situations. Help us to realize the great gift of our sexuality as an expression of total self giving between a man and a woman that is always opened to the gift of a child in the lifelong vocation of marriage. Help us to restore in our culture the beauty of chastity, modesty and respect for the life of every person from the moment of conception to natural death. Help us to support and elect people that will promote laws that will support these values. We are in great bondage to our pride, lust, greed, and lies, the fruit of which has been the "legal" killing of tens of millions of children in their mother's womb. Our culture denies the truth of this grave injustice, which cries out to you, who are the Lord of Life. We come before you in repentance and ask for mercy and help to overcome the lies of the evil one and our blindness to the deep darkness of our times and your love and truth that will indeed set us free! We ask this of you who live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
